Make Money on the internet.

I needed to make more money, but I couldn't work more hours at my day job or get another job, and I had already had a garage sale, so I started digging around in search engines trying to figure out how to make money on the internet. Everybody else seemed to be doing it.

What I learned was that the REAL way to make money on the internet is through affliate sponsor programs. These are companies that let you sell their stuff on the net. Then they pay you a commision. It doesn't cost you anything! Just time. I've been doing it for a while now. I don't expect to be giving up my day job soon, but I am paying off some bills. Maybe one day I can give up the day job.

Making money on the internet is actually rather easy, but it ain't a get rich quick thing.

The less hours you work the less money you make
That makes sense doesn't it?

It's a three step procedure.
1. Build a site.
2. Find some affiliate sponsors who sell something people who come to your site would be interested in.
3. Promote your site.

Let's look at each of those a little more closely.

1. Build your site. You can build a web site for free at:

These are some great starting places because they have so many sources of help.
and Your Internet Service Provider usually provides you space to build a small site for free.

Paid hosting is the way to go if you are really serious.

Domain Name
If you go with paid hosting (and you should) you will first need a domain name.
The domain name of this site is givemetheinfo.com You will need to think of a good name for your site then go to Great Domainia.com to get one.

You will need to learn HTML. It's pretty easy really. And there's lots of books available, lots of places to learn it on the net. I posted my first web site a few hours after I decided to try and I'm not particularly smart.

What should your web site be about?
Just about anything. What's your hobby? Do you like Tropical Fish? Build a site about Tropical fish, put a picture or two of your fish on it, then join Amazon.com's affiliate program, and put reviews of a couple of books about tropical fish, link to them from your site and make %10 every time someone goes to Amazon from your web site and buys those books. AND you can probably find some pet store on the web that has an affiliate program you can put their banners on your page too.

Your site doesn't have to look like a sales pitch. You could build a site about your local high school basketball team. Tell the latest news about the team, give play by plays. Then add a few sponsor items on the page. Like maybe a few basketball books, or link to some of the sponsors in Linkshare that sell sporting goods, or general items of interest to everybody like an Ionic Breeze air purifier from Sharper Image. I sell a lot of these. Sharper Image is a member of Linkshare.
Now give all your friends the URL so they can come read your punditry, and buy your goods. Tell the school newspapr about your site. While you are at it, put the URL on the bumper of your car!

You want to make a lot of money? Build a lot of sites. Each webpage you build can be a little money maker for you. So build a lot of them about different things. That's the real secret to making money in the internet. If one site makes you $10 per month then 10 Sites will make $100. Right?

2. Find a sponsor, join it, and put their links on your website.

I already mentioned Amazon.com.
The nice thing about Amazon is they have books on every subject, so you can list a few relevent books on ANY site.

3. Promote your site.

Here's the down side
It can take months to get listed in a Search Engine.
But that's OK your in this for the long haul. Once your sites appear in the SEs they usually are there forever.
And from then on they just sit there waiting for someone to find them so they can sell for you. It's GREAT!

And here's a secret hint to making money on the internet for you.

Link all your sites together! Each site you build should be linked to at least 3 other of your sites. Why? Because many SEs find sites by following links they find on sites they spider. So, if all your sites are linked together that is just one more way to get into the SEs, and make more money on the internet. Keep a map showing how your sites are linked so you are sure you get every money making site into your web.

Secret hint #2

Trade links with other people. That gives the spiders one more way to find your site. It also gives you something called link popularity with Google, and will cause your pages to get closer to that coveted number one listing.

Another good tip is to have one page that has links to ALL your sites, even if it has nothing else on it. And you should link to this hub from most of your money making sites.

How do I make money on the internet?

There are a lot of sites trying to tell you how to get rich quick on the internet. I probably looked at a few hundred sites while I was trying to learn how to make money on the internet. They wanted to sell me a book, or wanted me to pay them to learn some secret. They usually sound good (actually they usually sounded too good) but most of the time you can't even find out what they are selling until you give them your money. I actually bought some of this crap myself. It was a waste of money.
Well I don't want your money. (Well OK I do, so just box it up and send it all to me. :) )I haven't asked for your credit card. I havn't even asked for your e-mail address. Of course your wondering how does this guy make a buck to pay his bandwidth bills? Well, I make most of my money doing exactly what I'm telling you to do.
