Personal injury lawyer on a banana peel?

I thought that everything that could be advertised on already had been advertised on. I mean a few years ago a pizza company paid to put their logo on the side of a rocket launching a satellite. What's left?

Turns out, banana. A few days ago I was peeling a banana and noticed that that familiar little sticker had changed. It had been turned into an ad for a movie. Just a tiny little thing, but possibly the last thing un-advertised-on thing is now gone.

That wasn't any big deal. But yesterday I was driving through a suburb of Dallas, and saw an ad for a personal injury lawyer on a garage sale sign. I actually circled the block and slowed down just to be sure. Yep, there it was. A hand written sign advertising the services of a personal injury lawyer. Workplace or car wreck we're the personal injury lawyer for you!

I guess personal injury lawyers have to get their start somewhere, but would you call an attorney who's number you saw on a hand written sign?

I was a tad uneasy with the idea of allowing attorneys and lawyers to advertise in the first place. Until a couple of decades ago lawyers and attorneys weren't allowed to advertise at all. Other than maybe in the yellow pages. But that's the world we live in today. I have a higher level of respect for one who advertises on the web, because that tells me they are at least web savy.

I guess next we'll see them on youtube and google video. :) Or how about a my space page for a personal injury lawyer. At least it's forward looking.
