The Adventure of the Hard Headed Cow,
I may have mentioned before in this blog that I live in the middle of a cow pasture. My house is situated near the corner of a 620 acre full section. There is a fence surrounding the house that encloses about one acre. The cows come right up to the fence.Well except for one. This hard headed red cow has decided that the grass is greener on my side of the fence. She has gotten in numerous times over the last week or so. And every time she gets in she is more determined to stay in.
She gets in by first pushing the fence down with her neck then she jumps over. The first few times she did this we just opened the gate and herded her out. As I said she gets harder to chase out each time she gets in. My wife found that whacking her with a broom worked once. Yesterday she got in and was happily munching on grass. My wife tried to chase her out but the cow wasn't moving. Wife got a 2x4 and was slapping hard head on the butt with it. Hard head just stood there and munched grass. Well, the wife eventually got her to go.
This morning she was back in the yard. I tried to shoo her toward the gate, but she just looked at me. I shortly gave that up and went inside and got my 12 gauge pump. I stood behind the cow and fired that into the air. On the third shot she finally decided that she should move. But did she head for the wide open gate right in front of her? No. She headed around behind the house, me still right behind her firing into the air. My ears are still ringing. It was about the time I got around the corner of the house that I realized my wife was standing on the porch laughing her head off at me.
I guess it made a pretty silly site, me yelling at this cow, firing the shotgun into the air and the cow meandering along not all that worried.The cow eventually got to the back fence and decide to jump over. Of course the stupid thing got her hind foot hung in the fence and nearly tore my fence down before I could get it loose. She then proceeded to mosey on over about ten feet from the fence and turn back and look at me.
So I spent a good part of my day adding a strand of barbed wire to the top of my fence. I didn't really want to put barbed wire on there. But maybe that stupid cow will gut her self on it next time she jumps it.

OK, so do you Dems have better plan? Do you even have a plan?
I got this letter from The DNC Internet Team this morning.
Dear Bill,
Last night in his State of the Union address, President Bush promised to "build a better world for our children and grandchildren" -- and then outlined a series of policies that would do exactly the opposite.
Bush deliberately chose to mislead the American people about his disastrous plan to privatize Social Security. He claimed to oppose borrowing money and cutting benefits, but his plan does both, creating trillions of dollars in new debt and cutting benefits up to 50 percent. He claimed that his plan would make Social Security more solvent, but experts agree that it will do the reverse.
The result is a less secure future for our children and grandchildren. And Bush's Social Security privatization scheme is just the tip of the iceberg.
With your help, we will hold Bush and the Republicans accountable, and we will stop their disastrous agenda dead in its tracks.

Pres Bush basically wants to allow individuals to invest part of what they would have paid into Social Security into the stock market.
I so WISH I had been allowed to put invest ALL the money I was forced to pay into Social Security in the Stock Market.
I am 48. About ten years ago when I got my first statement from the Social Security administration telling me how much I had paid in each year (We all get one yearly) I sat down with a financial calculator and calculated how much money I would have if I had invested the same amount in an investment returning 5% annually.
Bear in mind that the DOW has done between 5 an 6% averaged over the last 70 years.
If I had invested those dollars at 5% I would have been able to retire right then, TEN years ago.
But that really isn't the point.
President Bush want to do what Clinton/Gore wanted to do. Back then the Dems loved the idea, now they hate it. I wonder why that is. Maybe because all the DNC is these days is the anti-Bush party. They have nothing of their own but they think the American people are stupid enough to elect them any way. (Well OK some people are stupid enough to vote for them, Nov 2 proved that.
In 1999.Clinto/Gore proposed that the government invest Social Security funds in the stock market.

Vice President Gore Supported Clinton's Proposal To Invest The Social Security Surplus In The Stock Market. In 1999, "President Clinton proposed . . . transferring 62 percent of projected budget surpluses to Social Security, to put more than $2.7 billion into the system over the next 15 years. He said about $700 billion of it should be invested in the stock market for increased returns. Gore support[ed] the administration plan." (Walter R. They did it again in 2001.
In 2001, The Democrats Again Proposed The Government Invest Social Security Funds In The Stock Market. "The [proposal] marked the first time that Democrats have countered Bush's plan to rescue Social Security with a stock strategy of their own. But, unlike Bush, they would leave it to the government to do the investing and take the inherent risks." (Robert A. DNC get off yer collective dead ass and come up with a plan!!!!!
Or shut up and let the Republicans fix Social Security.
The Islamic States of America?
The hardest thing for Westerners to understand is not that a war with militant Islam is underway but that the nature of the enemy's ultimate goal. That goal is to apply the Islamic law (the Shari‘a) globally. In U.S. terms, it intends to replace the Constitution with the Qur'an.
This aspiration is so remote and far-fetched to many non-Muslims, it elicits more guffaws than apprehension. Of course, that used to be the same reaction in Europe, and now it's become widely accepted that, in Bernard Lewis' words, "Europe will be Islamic by the end of the century."

What is really taught at Mosques and Islamic schools IN THE UNITED STATES
Di you ever wonder what the imams at mosques inside the US are preaching? What about what kind of books are distributed at mosques and islamic schools inside the US?Well, finally someone has done the research, translating quite a number of books and pamplets obtained from mosques and islamic schools in the United States.
What they found is just scarey as hell. Each and every one of the books or pamplets is provided by The Kindom of Saudi Arabia, our supposed friends. They all preached an anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, misogynist, jihadist, and supremacist outlook. islam is such a loving and peaceful religion isn't it?

Reject Christianity as a valid faith: Any Muslim who believes "that churches are houses of God and that God is worshiped therein is an infidel."

Insist that Islamic law be applied: On a range of issues, from women (who must be veiled) to apostates from Islam ("should be killed"), the Saudi publications insist on full enforcement of Shariah in America.

See non-Muslims as the enemy: "Be dissociated from the infidels, hate them for their religion, leave them, never rely on them for support, do not admire them, and always oppose them in every way according to Islamic law.

Prepare for war against America: "To be true Muslims, we must prepare and be ready for jihad in Allah's way. It is the duty of the citizen and the government."
The report's authors correctly find that the publications under review "pose a grave threat to non-Muslims and to the Muslim community itself." The materials instill a doctrine of religious hatred inimical to American culture and serve to produce new recruits to the enemy forces in the war on terrorism.

And while we are talking about islamic hatred toward non-muslims, here is are some quotes the prominent Islamist website Jihad Unspun
the tsunami struck Thailand for supporting "the Christian crusaders in the war on terror," Sri Lanka for giving "its full backing to the Christian Crusaders inside the White House," India for its "Shirk (polytheism)," and Indonesia because "the Kufr (non-Islamic) government of the apostate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono" is fighting against the "mujahideen" in Aceh who want to establish an "Islamic Sultanate where the Sharee'ah (Islamic laws) prevail." The website does not explain why Aceh, the most Islamist of any Indonesian province, suffered the worst damage.
The same pattern is shown in Saudi government giving. Riyadh originally offered $10 million for tsunami relief; then, after international criticism, upped its pledge to $30 million. This sum is dwarfed by the $150 million per year the Saudis have given to the families of suicide bombers. Meanwhile, according to government websites, they spend billions funding 1,500 mosques, more than 200 colleges, and some 2,000 schools for Muslim children in Europe, North and South America, Australia, and Asia. Their aim is not to alleviate human suffering, or even Muslim suffering, but only to promote their version of Islam.
