Happy Veteran's Day??????????
I just got back from lunch.Had a chili dog that I will probably regret later. But it tasted good going in. :)
While I was out I stopped at my friendly neighborhood Wal-Mart.
Since it's Veterans Day I was wearing a ball cap from one of the ships I was stationed on in the Navy. U.S.S Rowan DD782.
Some lady wished me a "Happy Veteran's Day".
Say What?
I think I scared her with my look of total confusion. She went away quickly.
Happy Veteran's Day?????
OK, She meant well, so I'll accept it in the spirit it was offered.
But, Veteran's day is the day to honor and thank the veterans who have served and survived.
You don't say "Happy Veteran's Day".
You say "Thank You".
Arafat is dead, finally.
It appears that this time after nearly two weeks of various messages Yasser Arafat is dead.If George W Bush died today, thousands of Palestinians would dance in the streets.
I will not celebrate the death of Yasser Arafat, but neither will I mourn him.
I do look forward to a brighter day in the Middle East without him.

Yasser Arafat is probably the one person most responsible for the situation in The Middle East today. Tens of thousands of people have died because of him and many tens of thousands more will die before his legacy is burned from the Middle East.
Yasser Arafat has for decades been the key figure in the jihad against Isreal, saying one thing to the west while fomenting terrorism against Isreal. His Fatah group, his PLO have endlessly fought to create hatred for Isreal and her western allies since the 60's.
He was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of 11 Isreali Olympians at the Minich Games in 1972, by his Fatah group.
His entire life was a terrorist juhad against Isreal.
Yasser Arafat's legacy of hatered and violence will live on for many generations.
