Joe McCarty was right!
Joseph McCarthy is one of the most maligned figures in American history, especially by the left in America. In the 1950s he was the figure in the lead in the fight to expose Communist influence in the US Government and in Hollywood.
These days just about anything the Liberals don't like is called McCarthyism.
Problem is Joseph McCarthy was right.
Recently released FBI and Kremlin documents show that almost every person he named as a Communist agent or sympathizer was indeed a Communist, from Washington DC to Hollywood.
Here's a little article to read. The next time you hear a liberal bashing something as McCarthyist, you can chuckle because you know the inside joke. McCarthy was right and this liberal is too stupid to know how stupid he is being by using that inaccurate comparison.

And while we are on the subject of Communism, here's a little list of
"Communist Goals" that were entered into the Congressional Record by HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR in 1963.
It makes for some scary reading considering most of the goals on the list have been attained.
Communist Goals to Defeat America and Capitalism
Makes you wonder are the Communists still at work? Do the people working to attain these goals realize what they are doing or are they just doing what they have come to believe is right. Did the Communists so thoroughly bilk the left during the cold war that the left is just carrying on with the Communist agenda on pure inertia? Am I full of crap?

A recent Quote from Carl Bernstein
"Today, the United States is confronted by another ill-considered war, conceived in ideological zeal and pursued with contempt for truth, disregard of history and an arrogant assertion of American power that has stunned and alienated much of the world, including traditional allies. At a juncture in history when the United States needed a president to intelligently and forcefully lead a real international campaign against terrorism and its causes, Bush decided instead to unilaterally declare war on a totalitarian state that never represented a terrorist threat; to claim exemption from international law regarding the treatment of prisoners; to suspend constitutional guarantees even to non-combatants at home and abroad; and to ignore sound military advice from the only member of his Cabinet — Powell — with the most requisite experience. Instead of using America's moral authority to lead a great global cause, Bush squandered it."

"Today, the United States is confronted by another ill-considered war,
What makes it an ill considered war? The fact that you dissagree with it?
conceived in ideological zeal
If idelogical zeal, means a desire to protect the American People from enemies who declared war on us, then yeah, I guess so. I for one am pretty zealous about protecting America and her people.
and pursued with contempt for truth,
The only war around here that is being pursued with contempt for truth is the Democrat's war for the Whitehouse.
disregard of history and an arrogant assertion of American power that has stunned and alienated much of the world, including traditional allies.
Those traditional Allies,who would they be? France? Germany? When your allies are wrong, when your allies are more interested in lining their own pockets than in taking out a mass murderer, or helping prevent another 9/11 it's time to forget your SO-CALLED allies.
At a juncture in history when the United States needed a president to intelligently and forcefully lead a real international campaign against terrorism and its causes, Bush decided instead to unilaterally declare war on a totalitarian state that never represented a terrorist threat;
The United States has exactly the President we need right now. And he is doing exactly what he should be. He is inteliegently and forcefully attacking Jihadist Terror and IT"S SUPPORTERS. (That would be Saddam Husein)
Limp Wrist Libersl Defination of unilateraly
Without the support of all the despots and bannana dictators who compromise The UN. Only applies when a Republican President acts without The UN, Democrat Presidents are allowed a pass on this one.
to claim exemption from international law regarding the treatment of prisoners;
The prisoners in question are not covered by the Geneva Convention because the Geneva Convention protects soldiers. These are terrorists operating on their own.
to suspend constitutional guarantees even to non-combatants at home and abroad;
The Constitution does not cover people who commit crimes outside the US, and who are arrested outside the US, and have never been inside the US. The constitution covers US citizens, inside the US.
and to ignore sound military advice from the only member of his Cabinet Powell with the most requisite experience.
Also the only member who agrees with you Eh Carl.
Instead of using America's moral authority to lead a great global cause, Bush squandered it."
Bush IS leading the world in a great global cause. It's just that only the moral are following him. That would be about 90 nations.
Tell me something Karl why should we sit around being attacked time and time and again, while France and The UN sit on their thumbs, and contimue to collect thier bribes from Saddam, and continue to sell him goods and services? In other words if our "allies" are more interested in their own interests are we supposed to give crap about what they think?

Drug addiction is a disease that should be treated with compassion and understanding...unless the addict is a Conservative talk show host.
The United States should be subservient to the United Nations. Our highest authority is not God and the U.S. Constitution, but a collective of tinpot dictators (and their appeasers) and the U.N. charter.
Government should relax drug laws regardless of the potential for abuse, but should pass new and unConstitutional anti-gun laws because of the potential for abuse.
Calls for increased security after a terrorist attack are "political opportunism," but calls for more gun control after a criminal's spree killing is "a logical solution."
"It Takes a Village" means everything you want it to mean...except creeping socialist government involvement in the nuclear family.
Disarming innocent, law-abiding citizens helps protect them from evil, lawless terrorists and other thugs.
Slowly killing an unborn innocent by tearing it apart limb from limb is good. Slowly killing an innocent disabled woman by starving her to death is good. Quickly killing terrorists, convicted murderers and rapists is BAD.
Every religion should be respected and promoted in public schools the name of diversity, so long as that religion isn't Christianity.
The best way to support our troops is to criticize their every move. This will let them know they're thought of often.
Sexual harassment, groping and drug use are degenerate if you're the governor of California, but it's okay if you're the President of the United States.
Sex education should be required so that teens can make informed choices about sex, but gun education should be banned because it will turn those same teens into maniacal mass-murderers.
Minorities are blameless for the hatred of the racist; women are blameless for the hatred of the rapist; but America is entirely at fault for the hatred of Islamofascists.
Poverty is the cause of all terrorism...which is why the leaders of al Qaeda are typically U.S.-educated and were raised in wealth and luxury.
The Patriot Act is a horrific compromise of Constitutional rights, but anti-Second Amendment laws and Franklin Roosevelt's Presidential Order 9066 must be regarded "reasonable precautions."
We should unquestioningly honor the wishes of our age-old allies, even when said allies no longer act like our allies and have vested economic interests in propping up our enemies.
Socialized medicine is the ideal. Nevermind all those people who spend every dime they have to get to the United States so they can get quality medical care...that their nation's socialized medical community can't provide.
Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky and Natalie Maines are perfectly qualified to criticize our leadership, but Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston, and Dennis Miller are just ignorant political hacks.
John Lott's research on how gun ownership reduces crime is junk science, but Michael Bellesiles is still an authority on why gun control is good (even though he was forced to resign from Emory due to research misconduct over his book "Arming America").
Bush's toppling the Saddam regime was a "diversion," but Clinton's lobbing a couple of cruise missiles at Iraq in the thick of the Lewinsky sex scandal was "sending a message."
A president who lies under oath is okay, but a president who references sixteen words from an allies' intelligence report should be dragged through the streets naked.
Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning Second Amendment rights and shopping the courts for judges sympathetic to causes that wouldn't pass in any legislature.
"The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Ninth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Tenth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903).
You support a woman's "right to choose" to kill her unborn child, but don't believe that same woman is competent enough to homeschool the children she bears.
Proven draft-dodging is irrelevant, but baseless claims of AWOL status is crucial to national security.
Threatening to boycott Dr. Laura's and Rush Limbaugh's advertisers is exercising Freedom of Speech, but threatening to boycott CBS's "The Reagans" and Liberal actors over their asinine anti-American remarks is censorship and McCarthyist blacklisting.
