This is something I made a few months ago. I think you will recognize the time frame when you see it.
It was my response to a cartoon published in a lot of papers about George W Bush.
Cartoon
JERUSALEM – The Middle East - a region long known for its rancorous politics - is trying something new: pragmatism and moderation.
Christian Sience Monitor story
Libya has said it will abandon plans to pursue weapons of mass destruction.
Iran has promised to allow international inspections of its nuclear facilities.
Syria has announced that it is again willing to talk peace with Israel.
Egypt and Iran are ending an era of mutual mistrust.
So are Turkey and Syria.
Saudi Arabia is allowing unprecedented internal debate.
Well, you topple a couple of terrorist supporting governments, start to introduce democracy to a region that never knew such a thing before and look what happens.
George W Bushe's war on terror is already showing signs of victory.
He knows you can't win this war on terror simply by finding and killing the terrorist themselves. (Partly because it would be like finding all the cock roaches in the city dump.)
Arresting people AFTER they kill or help kill 3000 people won't help much either.
To put an end to Jihadist Terror, you have to win the hearts and minds of the majority in the Middle East. You have to show them a better way.
How do you do that?
First show them what happens to supporters of terror. (Afganhistan and Iraq)
Then introduce them to freedom.
People all over the Middle east are looking at the freedom the protestors marching in the streets in Iraq have, and saying "I want some of that!."
Nowhere esle in the MIddle East have people EVER been able to protest against their government. Sure they were allowed to protest against the US, or against Isreal, but just don't dissagree with the Government.
This war on terro thing just might work.
I got me get me one of these!!!
A 15 inch tall George W. Bush Talking Figure.
"Freedom itself was attacked"
"Terrorism against our nation will not stand"
And who can forget...

Something odd is going on over at Gut Rumbles. I'm not sure what, it seems to have been hi-jacked by some cat person.
I don't have time to read all the blogs I would like to. But the AcidMan's blog is usually the first I go to when I have the time.
I don't know why. I just enjoy his style and his editorial point of view.
