According to this article there may be no reason at all to worry about getting Mad Cow Disease. It includes some info about the 100 people in England who had an illness similar to Mad Cow but there seemed to be no reason to believe they got this disease from eating beef.

We had a great Christmas at our house.
The Kids came, they brought the Grandkids and a good time was had by all.
A local town near us has a Christmas light show you can drive through. The Grandkids really loved that. A lot of the displays were animated and some went across the road, the kids kept wanting us to stop under this one or that one, so "Santa could throw the ball over our car" or what ever was happening. I personally am still trying to figure out what "the fish jumping into the water" display was about, but to each his own I guess.
Grandma made baked ham, and dressing, and all sorts of other goodies.
The weather was nice enough we could get outside and play with the Grandkids.
Just a nice Christmas.
This would be a better world if Christmas came about once a month. But without the Christmas Gift shopping.
What a crock of crap. If anybody is to blame it's you for not watching your kid. Or maybe your kid for not watching where he is going. But accepting responsibility doesn't get you rich does it?

You all probably remember a week or so ago when there was a big to-do over Haliburton over charging the Government 61 million dollars for gasoline it delivered to Iraq.
If you watched any of the main news sources ABC CBS NBS CNN you heard them make reference time and again to no bid contract" and "Dick Cheney connections to Haliburton"
Did you even once hear them mention that Hailburton was overchaged 61 million dollars by the people they bought the oil from?
Did you even once hear them mention that The Army Corp of Engineers (The Government) told Haliburton who to buy from?
Did you even once hear them say that Haliburton was just passing that over-charge on to the people who told Haliburton where they had to buy the gas?
Well, THAT is the rest of the story. Haliburton wasn't pocketing the over-charge, just trying to regain the money it had lost because it was overcharged by the government's chosen supplier.
Now you know the real story.
Seems that if the press was interested in telling the truth they could have dropped one or two mentions of how Dick Chechy used to be connected to Haliburton and tell these facts. But no. They want to make GWB, Dick Cheney, and Haiburton look bad, and have no interest whatsoever in the truth. They would rather you think Haliburton is pocketing the over-charge out of greed and dishonesty, because that allow them to paint GWB and DC as bad people.
Actually to give CNN proper credit, I did hear them mention ONCE that Haliburton was overcharged for the gas. ONCE!

Seems to be running mostly "Bush Let it happen".
Although there do seem to be a few who are saying to the poster "Your making us look bad".
Maybe some of them over there have a bit of sense.
The Venison was delicious. I roasted it in a cast iron skillet with lid at 250F for several hours.
I rubbed it with a combo of cumin, dried garlic, oregano, and pepper.
Threw it in the skillet with a few strips of bacon, a sliced onion, some whole wheat flower, and a bit of water.
I baked it for about 3 hours, at this low temp.
It fell apart when you put a fork in it. The gravy was delicious.
Might be it tasted extra good because of it's origins. :)
