When I started this blog one of my ideas was to pretend to be a liberal who was so stupid he actually told the truth. He talked about what the liberals are really thinking. See my translation in a post down the page a bit.

But then I found the forum at this place. Dumascrap Underground

I realized the liberals were already doing a fine job of ilustrating their won stupidity.

For a few hysterical laughs, find the forum there and read. Better than a Three Stooges Movie.

I see in the news that Moammar Gadhafi has decided to give up his weapons of mass destruction and allow the UN to verify that he has done so.

I wonder if pictures of Saddam being checked for head lice had anything to do with that? I think it probably did.

Of course the liberal mouths don't. One said "we have to remember that Libya has been under sanction for years."

Translation---"There's no way I'm giving credit to George Bush. Even though he is probably responsible."

I expect this to become a trend. These dictators are sitting in their palaces, fat dumb and happy. They don't want to be chased into a hole in the ground. I imagine many of them would prefer to give up their WMD, and stop supporting terror and keep their nice palaces.

I give full credit for this to GWB. Gadhafi and his ilk don't understand diplomacy. They do understand bombs and bullets. George Bush speaks their language.

LOL! I just spell checked the upper part of this post. Apparently the spell checker thinks I misspelled Maommar, it's suggestion----mammary. :)

I may not have previously mentioned it but I'm just your basic Texas redneck. My family including in-laws are a bunch of rednecks too.

My brother-in-law was over last night. He lives in house he rents from a gentleman. The house sits on a rather large acreage. In years past, brother in-law has been allowed to deer hunt on the land, this was in fact a gentleman's agreement when he first rented the house. This year however the deer lease was let out to a couple of city folk. Of course brother-in-law was upset with this.

However there was some poetic justice. Last week brother-in-law was outside his house when he heard a shot down in the woods behind the house. The woods he had been hunting in until this year. Not unexpected during deer season. In fact that is one of the nice things about living in the country, when you hear shots there's no need to hit the dirt. It's just Bubba down the road killing some tin cans or a deer or maybe a possum.

A few minutes later a deer came running across the field between the house and the woods. It jumped the back fence and promptly died in my brother-in-laws back yard. He looked the deer over, and waited about an hour for the hunter to claim it. No hunter showed up. So brother-in-law strung the deer up in a tree and he and sister-in-law started cleaning and skinning the deer. Finally they heard four wheelers coming in their direction. They continued working on the deer while two city boys drove all over the field looking for the deer in every bush and behind every tree. Apparently these city boys couldn't track an 18 wheeler through a corn field. Or a bleeding deer across a field.

The reason brother-in-law came over last night was to bring us a couple of venison steaks. I expect they will taste quite good. Their marinating in milk right now. I'll let you know how they were later.

And if you want a little more try this one.

A Soldier's night before Christmas

I know a little about how these solidiers feel. I was in the Navy. Now we had it a lot more comfortable than the Soldiers or Marines. Wherever I went I took my shower, bed, and cook with me. A ship just kind of works that way. But I have spent my share of Christmasses on patrol off the coast of some bananna republic, or some Muslim Kingdom. I've eaten Tom Turkey out of a can more times than I care to count. I know how it feels to be on watch in some God forsaken corner of the world during the Holidays.

Did you ever wonder how it feels to spend Christmas defending a country where Christmas is illegal?
(That would be just about any Muslim Country.)

My thoughts and prayers are with every one of them.

A Christmas Poem that holds real meaning this year. My sister sent it in an e-mail.

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
my daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree, I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep
in perfect contentment, or so it would seem.
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eye when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
and I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear
"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts,
to the window that danced with a warm fire's light
then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,
I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night"

"Its my duty to stand at the front of the line,
that separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.

My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,"
then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers."
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.

I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red white and blue... an American flag.

"I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home,
I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat,
I can carry the weight of killing another
or lay down my life with my sisters and brothers
who stand at the front against any and all,
to insure for all time that this flag will not fall."

"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."
"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son."

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone.
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
to know you remember we fought and we bled
is payment enough, and with that we will trust.
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

An interesting essay that shows the Democrats are total whores. They have no true beliefs other than that Republicans are bad. Bash Bush when he creates Streel Tariffs, bash Bush when he ends those same tarrifs. It almost seems like all they really want to do is Bash Bush.

Interesting

On second thought maybe the reason GWB toppled Sadman is because the world will need Iraqi oil production when we go after Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Charities are the source of major funding of terror

We remember

This as got to be the best picture I have seen come out of Iraq.

Well, except for the one of Saddam with a stick shoved in his mouth.

We Remember, Semper-fi

This 13 year U.S. Navy Veteran wishes he could have been in the picture.

Should we ha done away with Saddam?

Many of us are wondering if getting rid of Saddam was such a great idea. Sure he was an evil dictator, but he kept the country together and sort of peaceful. What we see today is all kinds of groups wanting control of Iraq. It looks like any minute the whole place could turn into a four way war. Or maybe that's a five way war, as we have to include the Jihadist whackos who have come to Iraq to defeat "The Great Satan". The place just looks like a great opportunity for Islamic Extremists. With Saddam gone, what's next? Another Iran? Another Afghanistan?

Saddam is scum, but with him gone sounds like a possibility for worse trouble.

But look at how he maintained control. A four way war might kill fewer people.

It's possible that Iraq will now go to hell in a hand basket. You know what they say. The best laid plans of mice and men.

But, the plan is to make it a Democracy. To allow the Iraqi people to govern themselves. If that can be done it will be an example of something that has never been seen in the Middle East. Iraq has lots of natural resources other than oil, which of course it has lots of. It has the most educated populace in the Middle East. Those things give it a good chance of succeeding and becoming a virtual paradise, especially compared to the rest of the Middle East.

The Islamic extremists, which I call Jihadists, want to make the entire Middle East and ultimately the world into a place like Taliban controlled Afghanistan. They have proven time and again what they are willing to do to accomplish that goal. Possibly the most worrisome thing is that they believe they can do it.

A lot of Muslims are behind them. Some people (me included) believe that the sorry state of all the countries of the Middle East is a lot of the reason so many everyday Muslims are supporting or at least not fighting the Jihadists. In most of those countries, Saudi Arabia in particular, the royal families control the wealth. The rest of the populace lives in poverty or not much above the poverty line. The populace sees the royals as corrupt and usually not very Islamic.

If we can create a democracy in Iraq, where the wealth is spread fairly, where there is a middle class that lives nicely and can hope to do better through their own efforts, where people are not pitted against one another by a dictator, where there is no mega-wealthy royal family, the rest of the people in the Middle East will (I believe) follow along.

The Jihadist will lose their support, and their power. The Radical Imams will have less fodder to stir up the masses with, and Osama and his ilk will fad into the dust of history.

The proof of this is that there is already talk among the ruling class in several Middle Eastern countries of introducing some form of limited democracy to their countries. Remember how limited democracy worked in the Soviet Union? People got a taste, and wanted more. The Soviet Union is now history.

The war on terror is not a war that will be won with masses of armed troops in tanks. It is in reality a war for the hearts and minds of the common man in the Middle East. So long as a majority of people in the Middle East are unhappy there will be Osamsas. But if democracy and freedom can get a foothold, maybe we can win this war on terror and create a better life for millions of Muslims at the same time.

That all said, I want to say:

I believe this is the deep underlying reason why George W Bush, toppled Saddam.

I'm not saying that the reasons he gave were not valid. They were. Saddam was an evil man, a zit on the face of humanity. The Iraqi People are vastly better off without him. And the reasons given are legal and moral reasons to squash this bug. But ultimately the fall of Saddam may lead to a whole new way of life for the people of the Middle East. And by drowning the Jihadists in freedom we will win safety for Americans and all non-Muslims world wide from Jihadists like Osama.

The Skinnies?

OK here's a web site that features skin imperfections of the movies stars and even awards and awards called a "Skinnie"

Moron on the street comment of the year!

My local radio station was doing "man on the street" today.

When one guy was asked what his feelings were about Saddam's capture, he answered:

"I don't know what the big deal is, he didn't do anything all that bad, I mean except for all those murders."

BTW, I wonder why don't they do "woman on the street comments"?

Saddam.

I hate to insult Gimli but didn't Saddam look a bit like Gimli when he was captured yesterday? I guess living underground will do that to you. For you non-Tolkien types. Gimli is the dwarf in the Lord of The Rings Trilogy. Of course Gimli has balls and would never have allowed a human to stick a stick in his mouth. :)

I hope the capture of this animal allows the Iraqi people to breath easier.

Mayhaps now they can feel safe to help rebuild their own country.

Perhaps now they will help our troops find the Bath loyalists and the Alqeada wackos that are attacking our troops and the Iraqis. The sooner this is done the sooner Iraq can become a safe place for children to grow up. It would be nice if Saddam told us where the WMD is hidden too.

Could this be true? Mohammed Atta trained in Iraq with Saddams Knowledge!

Not much to say about this. I looks according to documents found in Iraq that Iraq may have helped train the 9-11 Wackos.
Read it and make up your own mind.

Was the head terrorist of 9-11 trained in Iraq?

I would be totally UNsurprised to find it is true. After all we've known for years that there is an airliner parked near Baghdad that had been used to train hijackers. We know Saddam has sent a total of 35 Million Dollars to the families of suicide bombers. That is a pretty strong commitment to support terror. We know he hates America. I am still not convinced that the Starke was an accident.

Saddam IS Captured!

I know you have all heard from the news that Saddam has been captured.

According to the news he was living in a rat infested hole in the ground. Appropriate that an animal like him spent his last days of freedom living in a hole like an animal. Also, I hear he was hiding within site of some of the elaborate palaces he built with money he stole from the Iraqi people.

From the pictures I'm seeing he looks rough. I guess living in a hole in the ground is hard on a guy.
